I am eager to express how my experience in the marketing field will make significant contributions in this role and an excellent addition to your team. I am a former student-athlete from Michigan State, turned marketing expert. I believe my extensive sports industry background contributes to the professional that I am today. I flourish in a fast-paced data-driven environment, I am a creative problem solver, competitive, innovative, and enjoy collaborating with a diverse unit with unique perspectives.

 

After leaving the sports industry, I accepted a marketing and public relations position at Arcanum Alloys, an electrical steel and automotive start-up company, from the Silicon Valley. As one of twenty-two employees in a $32M Series B Funding company, I was exposed to multiple roles and experiences that have made me a better team member and employee. I managed the Marketing and Public Relations Department; coordinating simultaneous projects, Arcanum's budget, and overall strategy. Through leveraging media outlets, digital marketing, email campaigns, webinars, and social media I improved Arcanum’s social followers by 40% and website traffic by 250% in six months. I promoted Arcanum’s brand through media outlets and publications including published articles in Modern Metal Magazine, FPC, Metal News, Tube &Pipe Journal, and Magnetics Business & Technology. I formed a clear brand architecture in alignment with our company core values and in consultation with executive staff, board members, and stakeholders. My greatest project was the commercialization of our electrical steel into the electric vehicle market. Through digital marketing and trade shows I was able to introduce the impact of our product into the EV sector and help achieve our vision of a zero emission and more sustainable world. In three months, our product was established around the globe, tripling cities and doubling countries reached, prior to campaign. With my creative abilities, competitive background, and data-first approach, I manufactured a marketing plan and tactics that would drive KPI’s and convert ideal consumers to leads in B2B sales.  

 

Prior to my position at Arcanum, I spent time working in the marketing communications department at Michigan State and Comcast NBC Universal. At Michigan State I used digital marketing tactics, newsletters, and email campaigns to contribute to an increase in ticket sales among donors and alumni letter-winners by 15% in one year. During my time at Comcast NBC I collaborated on a project that would better utilize our assets with the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings based on seasonal impressions.
